I was inspired by a piece of art that immediately ignited intense feelings of euphoria. While visiting the Houston Museum of Natural Science with my husband I could not take my eyes off of this piece of petrified wood. I enjoy the beautiful objects that God created and often try to implement natural elements in my home whenever I can. I have used plants, flowers, wood, natural cleaning products, nature images, recycled or up-cycled art. Needless to say, I am still searching for how I can get my hands on this piece of art for my home.
According to Geology.com, Petrified wood is a fossil. It forms when plant material is buried by sediment and protected from decay by oxygen and organisms.
The bright colored material is hard like stone with rich hues intermixed in a beautiful collage. AHHH! Breathtaking. Well I was so inspired by this art, that I decided to design a bedroom for someone who appreciated art and natural elements as much as I do. Here is a collage of my ideas and I even attached some links of the resources for you. ENJOY!!

I asked my followers on Facebook, “What would you like Skip to my Rue to blog about?” One of my followers said “Interior Paint Color Inspirations.” I will be posting a series of paint color inspirations for every season and here is the first one.
~This is not a sponsored post~
Spring is here! I love Springtime.. except for when it makes my sinuses act up. I love hearing and seeing the birds, the flowers, cool breeze and blue skies. Robin’s are a common bird that we see in the United States around this time and you might even see a nest with eggs.
The first palette of this series has been inspired by a Robin’s egg nest. I love the color blue of these eggs. You can use this color in so many ways in your home.

Pottery Barn has partnered with Sherwin Williams and has created seasonal palettes to coordinate with their latest collections. You will see the beautiful paint colors they have selected from Sherwin Williams under the coupon. Click on the link to get the coupon. This coupon ends May 22nd.
You don’t want to miss this sale. Sherwin Williams will have sales throughout the year and I believe this one is one of the best. This deal ends March 31st. Paints and stains are 30% and supplies are 15% off.
Guess what?! You can combine these two deals!!! If you purchased $75 worth of paint then you would save $37.50, that’s 50% off! Now that’s a deal!
